Abstract :
Welcome to the first issue of IEEE Robotics & Automation Magazine for the year 2011. I hope you would have already noticed some significant changes. We have a new cover style and internal layout. There were several motivations for doing this. First, we´ve had the current layout for many years now and it´s a little dated. The move to digital delivery was an extra impetus for the change, and the layout has been designed to look great on paper and screen.
