Abstract
In this letter, we carry out a numerical investigation to test the feasibility of employing fiber gratings to equalize the intermodulation effects of fiber chromatic dispersion in subcarrier multiplexing (SCM) systems over their complete bandwidth. The results predict a substantial improvement in the maximum link length limitation due to composite triple beat (CTB) and composite second order (CSO) both for direct as well as for external modulation techniques.
