Abstract :
Optimisation of a curved juncture cavity short backfire antenna is described. The rectangular waveguide inset depth into the cavity and the radius of the curved juncture between cavity floor and walls are found to affect the directivity of the antenna. The experimental radiation pattern at the design frequency is found to be suitable for a boresight array element
