Abstract :
The small signal modulation and intermodulation responses of the gain-clamped erbium-doped fibre amplifier were investigated experimentally for the first time. Around the relaxation oscillation frequency, a strong resonance dip and peak were observed in the modulation and intermodulation characteristics, respectively
