Abstract :
A number of control schemes exist for the PWM control of DC-DC converters which involve low resolution ADCs and basic PID algorithms. This paper proposes an adaptive control scheme for DC-DC converters, which is tested on a microcontroller of the AVR family. To account for the variations arising from the high sensitivity of an 8-bit ADC, an averaging scheme has been implemented to stabilize the output response.
