Abstract :
Smart environments have been a core ingredient of the pervasive computing vision for many years. Yet to appear genuinely smart, an environment must adapt to the people within it. Of course, supporting this level of adaptation is challenging—the environment must sense the presence of users, determine their requirements, and adapt accordingly.
