This year´s World Mobile Congress in Barce lona (see http://www.mobileworldcongress. com) was again an insight into the future of mobile technology (see Figure 1, next page). If what was shown at the conference is any indica tion, the mobile world is about to change dra matically Two big-game changers will reshape the way the mass public will use the medium, namely, Long Term Evolution (LTE) and the applications that support this standard. This will result in huge speed increases in data and an increase in the way data is deployed and used.
