Abstract :
A switched-capacitor macromodel (SCM) suitable for the analysis of arbitrary-phase SC networks (SCN) is presented, which reduces the number of nodes and the size of simulation equations of SCN drastically. The effect of the disconnected state of capacitors in multiphase cases on the compressed equations is discussed. Subsequently, a general z-domain equation formulation for arbitrary-phase SCNs is derived, and an algorithm implementing the SCM approach is developed. The z-domain equation formulations of the single-pole model of operational amplifiers for two cases are given as well, which can be used in the SCM approach. The SCM approach is illustrated by a four-phase SCN which has been stimulated by using a program, SCMAP, implementing the algorithm
