Abstract :
The error surfaces associated with insufficient order adaptive filters with white input are considered. It is shown that some sufficient, but not necessary, conditions for multimodality of these surfaces can be identified. A convenient method of determining the stationary points of some insufficient order adaptive filters with colored inputs is presented
