Abstract :
An electromagnetic (EM) optimization driver is introduced which makes optimization of electromagnetic components fully automatic. The driver is composed of an EM simulator and an optimizer. As a test example, an optimum design of a waveguide-microstrip transition using the driver is demonstrated. The numerical design is verified by the measurement
