Abstract :
An algorithm is introduced that makes possible the calculation of distortion in a common-emitter amplifier with feedback. The algorithm is easily programmable and could be incorporated into powerful circuit simulators, such as SPICE. It can be used for calculating the minimum possible amount of feedback necessary to avoid surpassing a pre-specified amount of distortion in the design of high-gain common-emitter amplifiers. The accuracy of the developed algorithm is experimentally verified
