Abstract
The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing is one of the most efficient techniques used within high speed multicarrier communication systems. An important drawback of these systems is the high peak-to-average power ratio of the transmitted signal. One of the well known solutions to overcome this problem is the signal compression. This paper proposes a new parameterized nonlinear function as an alternative to the existing compression functions. The paper highlights the performances and advantages of the proposed technique through comparison with other standard methods.
