Abstract :
Leveling electric power loads-and handling peak shifts in electric power demand-leads to more efficient use of electric power systems and is important in today´s world; the development of an effective method of suppressing CO2 emission is still of major public concern. A stagnant world economy is also emphasizing the necessity of electric power load leveling, especially in Japan, where the electric power supply is barely adequate because of shutdown of nuclear power stations after the very strong East Japan earthquake of March 11, 2011. Load leveling also reduces industrial and domestic electricity charges, and many consumers support measures aimed at preventing power reductions and failure.
