Abstract
The paper analyses the directional properties of capacitive clamp which is used for coupling the electric fast transient (EFT) to tested cable interface by the test of immunity against burst of EFT according to EN61000-4-4 standard. It evaluates the influence of overvoltage protection elements for auxiliary equipment decoupling upon the resulting test severity level. For the analysis circuit modelling tools are used and the simulation results are verified by experimental measurements.
