Abstract :
The authors present a new theory for the control of compensating winding current to eliminate the end-effect forces at all slips of a high-speed linear induction motor. The method is developed on the basis of quasione-dimensional solution of electrodynamic equations. Experiments have been conducted using a rotary-type test facility. It is found that the theoretical results agree well with the experimental results
