Abstract
The authors review a previously published method (see B.L. Cochrun and A. Grabel, 1973) for determining frequency-domain transfer functions of linear circuits and extend the method to allow for transcapacitors. The method is an extension of the familiar open-circuit time constant analysis technique, which depends on successive analyses of frequency-independent circuits. Where the original technique required finding the resistance seen by each capacitor, the extended technique requires finding a transresistance for each transcapacitor. The authors present a derivation of the generalized time-constant technique and demonstrate its application in a simple circuit
