Abstract :
Two leafy electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) structures are proposed for ultra-wideband (UWB) simultaneous switching noise (SSN) suppression in power/ground plane pairs. The valid -35 dB suppression bandwidth of the first design is from 218 MHz to 20 GHz, -40 dB suppression bandwidth of the second design is from 369 MHZ to 20 GHz. The simulated and measured results are compared and presented to verify good performance.
