Abstract :
Some of the key mathematical limitations encountered in multidimensional digital signal processing research, the useful general settings in which various topical investigations are facilitated, and directions for future research are summarized. The discussion covers multidimensional sampling, multidimensional signal processing over polydisc algebra, nonlinear multidimensional filtering and prediction, and nonlinear nonstationary multidimensional modelling approaches
