Abstract
A locked-mode disruption is artificially induced by lower hybrid current drive on a tokamak. By applying electron cyclotron heating (ECH), the disruption can be avoided. The time evolution of plasma internal structure during ECH is investigated with soft X-ray computer tomography. We have found that the mode locking and the growth of m = 1 and m = 2 modes are suppressed during ECH.
