The Wonder of Phased Arrays

Thank you, Mark Russell, for that very fine introduction. It´s great to be with you today; to be with people involved in phased array systems and technology. It´s also great to see so many here from other countries - over twenty. We welcome you to the United States. It´s clear phased array systems and technologies have become an international engineering science. I also understand that the number of papers submitted for this year´s conference was over double the number that were submitted at the last Boston conference.
