Abstract :
In the authors´ previous paper (see ibid., vol.128, no.3, p.109-16 (1981)), it was shown that the least-squares solutions for the nonlinear parameters of weighted sum models, as multiexponentials, may pairwise exactly coincide. This was explained as a consequence of degeneracy of the least-squares criterion under the influence of errors. This theory is now extended to include the coincidence of more than two nonlinear parameters.
