Abstract :
This article describes London Electricity´s completed project to provide a 44 MW supply for the Millennium Site at Greenwich. The works included construction of a new tunnel under the River Thames, installation of twelve 11 kV circuits in the tunnel and around the Dome, and installation of eight container substations 11 m above ground level in large cylinder structures exterior to the Dome. The article reviews how the project was designed, planned and executed to a successful conclusion.
