Abstract :
In recent years, the motors for factory automation need performance positioning with high speed and high accuracy. In this paper, a high response linear DC motor (LDM) is considered by two aspects. One is the movement of LDMs by the transfer function. The other is an impedance of the moving coil by measurement. These design considerations led to a high speed response. The inductance was reduced and the thrust constant enlarged. The validity of the design is confirmed by designing and manufacturing a LDM for a high-speed response. The measured settling time of the initial response is 80 milliseconds
