Abstract
Calculation of frequency, duration, and availability indexes in a capacity-limited complex network is difficult. This paper presents a new approach to obtain these indexes using a conditional probability formulation and the topological enumeration of all the required states, considering the capacity limitations of the links in the given network. This approach can be used to obtain the expressions for frequency, duration and availability indexes and can also be used to obtain accurate estimates of the indexes for large networks
