Abstract
A new adaptive decision feedback equaliser is presented. The nonlinear equalisation problem is transformed into an equivalent two-channel, but linear, equalisation problem. The input signal vector is completely orthogonalised using sequential processing two-channel lattice stages. Thus, a fast convergent, highly modular and simple equaliser with good numerical properties is designed
