Abstract :
One of the research areas in the field of R, D, & E management which presents a rough parallel to research in the natural sciences concerns the analytical and decision processes involved in project selection and resource allocation. Although, like much of the literature on management topics, progress in the field is not monotonic as it appears to be in some areas of physics and chemistry, there are general trends within this subarea of management where incremental additions to knowledge can be detected.
