Abstract :
THE PURPOSE of this Special Issue is twofold: first, to provide a research-based framework presenting a variety of approaches and perspectives on the variables critical to the effective management of engineers, scientists, and other technical professionals in organizations; and secondly, to effectively communicate relevant scholarly research findings in a usable form to the practitioners of engineering and R&D management. This, hopefully, will contribute in some way to bridging the gap between the theory and prauice of technical management.
