Abstract :
This paper has introduced a new uni-directional five-level rectifier, which has less number of devices than the conventional five-level rectifiers. The power output capability of this rectifier is limited and is a function of dc-link voltage and inductance, which is derived in the paper. This paper has also proposed a control method to regulate the dc-link neutral point voltage and flying capacitor voltage and is validated by simulation results.
