Abstract :
Various mixed or conventional dual formulations in magnetostatics can be derived via minimization of the error functional of the constitutive law written in energy terms and different ways of considering Maxwell´s equations. This demonstration allows a better understanding of the equivalence and the differences between these formulations. The computational effort and performance of different formulations are described
