Abstract :
The circularly polarised dielectric resonator antenna excited by a perturbed annular slot is investigated experimentally. A backing cavity is placed beneath the slot to block undesirable backside radiation. The effects of varying the slot on the return loss and axial ratio are discussed. The radiation patterns and antenna gain of the configuration are also presented
