Abstract
A new method for reconstructing the boundary of impenetrable two-dimensional objects, based on the generalized multipole technique (GMT), is presented. The coefficients of multipole sources are obtained from a set of measurements in the near-field region, and then, the shape of the object is determined through the constraint of the tangential E-field boundary condition for TM polarization
