Abstract :
Chemical nonthermal plasma reactors in air at atmospheric pressure are often built by numerous filamentary discharges, each of them being similar to that launched in a point-to-plane discharge in atmospheric air. The filamentary discharge during its crossing through the gas will trigger sets of chemical reactions, as well as hydrodynamic gas dynamic around the cylindrical path used by the discharge. In this paper, the role of the excited species on the formation of nitric oxide NO and atomic oxygen O is presented.
