  • Abstract
Digital signal processing (DSP) is having a major impact on advancing the state of the art of medical imaging. The advantages of DSP are well established: They operate in real time, they´re highly reliable, and they are very energy efficient. They´re also relatively inexpensive. But the medical imaging market continues to push for more technical innovation. That´s putting more focus on higher image quality and designing smaller systems.
