Abstract :
My concern about the power engineering curriculum was echoed in “Can power engineering education be reenergized?” by Kimberly A. Pyko and Glenn Zorpette [December 1986, p. 26]. My company recruits heavily at Midwestern universities, and we have seen a decline in the power option at these schools — even after we began making grants to support the power engineering curriculum.
