  • Abstract
An electrochemical method for infusing medications through the skin into the blood stream, trademarked Powerpatch, received U.S. patent 4 604 689 on Feb. 3. The inventor is Dan Sibalis, president of Drug Delivery Systems Inc., New York City, which was assigned the rights. According to executive vice president Sanford Rosen, Powerpatch is a self-adhesive applicator about the size of a business card that can be worn on the skin for several days.
