Title :
Semiconductors go to Korea: Capitalizing on licensing agreements with U.S. manufacturers, Korean electronics companies are working their way into the global marketplace
Abstract :
Some might suppose the semiconductor manufacturers in the United States will never learn. For years the industry has been bedeviled by Japanese competition, much at below-market prices. But even while the industry strived to stem that eastward outpouring of electronics products, and to balance it with sales in the Japanese market, U.S. manufacturers were actually helping build a semiconductor industry in another part of the Far East: South Korea.
