Abstract :
The search for extraterrestrial intelligence (SETI) seems to have captured the interest of scientists and the imagination of the general public to an extent matched by very few other large-scale research projects. Encompassing cosmology, the origin and evolution of life, the science and technology of search concepts, and even incursions into science fiction, the subject seems to have something for everyone. This book has sections devoted to all of those facets and is more complete than most books on SETI.
