Lino Guzzella [People in Control]

In this issue of IEEE Control Systems Magazine, we speak with Lino Guzzella who is a professor of thermotronics in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland. He formerly held several positions in industry, at Sulzer Brothers and at Hilti. He has served on the editorial boards of several journals; has coauthored four books, over 100 papers, and several patents; and has received many honors including the IEEE MSC Industry Award for Excellence in Translational Control Research and the IEEE Control Systems Magazine Outstanding Paper Award. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and of the IFAC.
