Abstract :
This paper presents a linear programming model to solve an annual hydrothermal scheduling problem. It considers the differences when the transmission network is or isn´t considered in the solution model, and its consequences. The models are solved using programming language C++ and solver CPLEX. The methodology is tested in a small system used as a study case.
