Abstract
The analytical form of the discrete Green´s function for the FDTD method is presented as a polynomial function. The FDTD algorithm is re-formulated in terms of a discrete convolution. The new algorithm shows that the FDTD method can be solved avoiding the absorbing boundary conditions (ABCs) and suppressing free space nodes, leading to major savings in computer storage requirements when modelling practical microwave structures
