Abstract :
The problems that arise when trying to port pacemaker analogue blocks to submicrometre technology are discussed. A circuit topology is proposed for a programmable voltage multiplier that can handle the relatively high voltages required to stimulate the heart, while still being able to operate from an almost exhausted pacemaker battery
