Abstract :
This paper does not attempt to describe particular makes of automatic voltage regulators, about which so much literature is already available. Instead, after a general classification of regulators, an attempt is made to describe the governing factors in regulator design, and the various ways and means which are adopted to achieve suitable automatic control.
