Abstract :
Summary form only given. With the development of high index and low loss metamaterials, great interest has been demonstrated in developing low profile ultra-high frequency (UHF) antennas with wide bandwidths for both defense and commercial applications. Meeting both requirements at the long wavelengths involved poses special difficulties.
