Abstract :
An explanation is provided for thermal degradation on the basis of thermokinetics. Several transformation equations are defined. These transformations predict thermal endurance characteristics of insulating materials for end points, different from those used for reference characterization, without resorting to the explicit knowledge of property vs. time curves. The approach is valid for both parallel life lines (at different end points) and nonparallel life lines which fulfil the aging compensation effect theory
