Abstract :
Reactive power sensitivities are used to allocate optimal reactive power compensation for light load operation. Both locations as well as reactor values are determined. The proposed optimisation algorithm determines the effective location by dropping the ineffective locations during the optimisation process, taken into consideration system constraints
