    This issue of IEEE Vehicular Technology Magazine is devoted to the trends in mobile radio channels: modeling, analysis, and simulation. This topic is and has been critical to our mobile radio members. With each new wireless communications system, the trend has been toward higher efficiency through increased complexity. Public demand for faster information access drives us to squeeze more data through available spectrum and fuels the investment in complex systems.
