Abstract :
A technique for characterization of polarization mode dispersion accumulation along optical fibers is applied on a 57.7-km installed fiber link. Due to the long beat length of the installed fiber, this technique works particularly well. Improvements of the range, accuracy and reliability are consequently confirmed.
