Abstract :
Leaky wave antennas attract huge attention among the researchers due to beamsteering capability. Leaky wave antennas are categorized as a special case of travelling wave antenna systems. Leaky wave antennas are widely used in new emerging Millimeter-Wave (mmW) technologies, such as Imaging, radar, outdoor short-range secure communication, and sensing. Dielectric Waveguide antennas are one of the major techniques for realization of leaky wave radiation. Due to fabrication complexity and integration challenges, the dielectric waveguide-based antennas are mainly reported in microwave frequency ranges.
