Abstract :
Highly nonlinear (up to ~2000%/W) parametric amplifiers in periodically-poled LiNbO3 waveguides are presented. High optical gain (up to 90 dB) in the whole transmission window of silica optical fibres has been obtained using fibre laser pump sources
