Abstract :
The authors report the generation of narrowband (<0.015 nm) ultraviolet light by the frequency doubling of a 1.5 kHz repetition rate Ti:sapphire laser in bulk periodically poled lithium niobate. A conversion efficiency of 19% was achieved with 91 mW of fundamental power. The second harmonic was tuned between 391 and 395 nm
